Two OSF visiting fellows at CEURUS

Starting from February 2017, the Centre for EU-Russia Studies/ Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies is hosting visiting scholars from Eastern European and Eurasian countries, supported from the OSF Eurasia programme.

The fellowship programme focuses on political and societal transition in Eurasia and Eastern Europe in a comparative perspective. The purpose of the fellowship programme is to enable scholars from the target countries to develop analytical and research skills and build international networks by participating in a five-month resident fellowship programme at the University of Tartu.

The programme will regularly support two fellows (one PhD candidate and one Post-doctoral Fellow) for a five-month period (February-June and August-January). The first two scholars to receive the fellowship are Dmytro Khutkyy from Ukraine and Numonjon Malikov from Uzbekistan. Fellows will be resident scholars at the University of Tartu, and they will work on their individual research projects under the supervision of a senior academic.

The next call for applications for the period August 2017 – January 2018 will open in March.

For more information on the project, please see the website.
