Lecture by Head of European Commission Representation in Estonia

On Thursday, 27 April, Mr Keit Kasemets, Head of European Commission Representation in Estonia, will give a talk “Coping with challenging times: perspective of the European Commission”. The talk takes place at 10.00 at Lossi 36-214.

In his lecture, Mr Kasemets will give insights about the tasks of the European Commission and discuss various contemporary domestic and international issues that require the European Union’s attention.

Mr. Keit Kasemets has been Head of the European Commission Representation in Tallinn since January 16, 2017. He has more than ten years of experience working in high-level positions for the Estonian government and in its administration. Among other positions, he has served as Deputy Secretary-General in the Estonian Ministry of Economy and Communications and Director of the EU Secretariat in the Government Office. From 2012 to 2015, Mr. Kasemets worked at the OECD’s Directorate of Governance and Territorial Development as Head of the Strategy and Reform Team and also as Deputy Head of the Support for Improvement in Governance and Management Programme (SIGMA). Mr. Kasemets has received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Tartu. Click here for his full CV.
