2nd Memory Studies Workshop

The Second Memory Studies Workshop organized by the memory Studies group at Tartu University will take place from14-15 November 2014 at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Lossi 36. Compared to the Memory Studies Workshop in 2013 the main aim of which had been to bring together researchers in the multidisciplinary field of memory studies from Estonia, this year’s workshop has expanded its geographic scope to include also researchers from outside Estonia. Thus we are happy to welcome to Tartu both senior and junior researchers from Estonia, Russia, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, GB and Ukraine working on memory from different disciplinary angles, including History, anthropology, sociology, folklore and literature studies, political science, and communication studies.

Anyone interested in the study of memory and related fields in the social sciences and humanities is most welcome to take part in this event. If you do, please register beforehand by sending an email indicating the days of your participation to Heiko Pääbo (heiko.paabo[at]ut.ee) latest by 12 November 2014.
