CEURUS welcomes a new researcher

The Institute of Government and Politics (IGP) has been awarded a highly-competitive Personal Research Grant (PUT) by the Estonian Research Council. The grant will go to Dr. Elena Pavlova, currently based at the Faculty of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University. With her research focusing on “Towards an Alternative Theory of Normative Power: A Comparative Analysis of Discourse and Foreign Policy of the European Union, Russian Federation and Latin America” she will be associated with the Centre for  EU-Russia Studies, further complementing our vibrant and multi-national community of researchers.

In fall 2012, the Estonian Research Council announced the new PUT scheme, to which well over 100 scholars from all disciplines applied for some 20 grants. Dr. Pavlova will relocate to Tartu and take up the grant of €43,000 immediately in the coming months.
