Memory Studies in Estonia – Workshop at Tartu University

On 15 November 2013 the first Memory Studies Workshop took place at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education (Lossi 36), room 306.  It was organised by a team of researchers from the UTs Institute of Government and Politics/CEURUS, the History Department and the Institute of Culture Studies and Art. The aim of the Workshop was to offer a forum for researchers of memory and related issues in Estonia to introduce and discuss their latest study results and exchange ideas with other scholars interested in the field. A final discussion of future plans revealed the interest of the workshop participants to continue these kinds of meetings and make such workshops on “Memory Studies in Estonia” a new tradition to be continued in coming years.
