Dr. Lina Klymenko

 

Lina Klymenko is a postdoctoral researcher at the Karelian Institute at University of Eastern Finland. Her main research interests are transition to democracy and authoritarianism in post-Soviet space; nation-building, politics of history and political culture in post-Soviet space and European Neighborhood Policy (Eastern Partnership). Lina’s ongoing research projects include research on World War II in Ukrainian history textbooks, study of attitudes of young Ukrainians towards Stalinism and study of World War II in historical memory in Belarus. While in Tartu, she will also give several lectures within the courses ‘Nationalism and Ethnopolitics’ and ’Theories of European integration’.
