Press release — 06 May 2013
EuroCollege reports a record number of international applications to its English-language MA programme European Union -Russia Studies (EURUS).
By the end of the application period, altogether 98 applications from 34 different states have been received, which shows a considerable increase to previous years and hints at a growing interest in Tartu University’s international MA programmes. What is particular interesting about this year’s application round, is that there are many applicants who already hold an MA, but seek to widen their disciplinary as well as geographical focus by aiming for an additional EURUS MA. The particular focus of the programme that approaches current issues in the multidimensional relations between Russia and the EU from different disciplinary perspectives remains a highly relevant and popular field of study. It appealed especially to students of the social sciences, in particular International Relations, as well as of International Law.
The programme will admit up to 15 students this year, of whom ten will have the possibility to study on a state-funded position.
